Can't find Purchase Orders

Our computer was destroyed by a virus and we lost everything.  The Quickbooks Pro 2010 we use was only used to do the Purchase Orders, Invoices, and Estimates, but all the backups were destroyed by the virus.  I am attempting to reset the quickbooks, and have redesigned the Invoices and the Estimates, but I do not find the Purchase Orders to design?  I also do not find a gear which appears to be the focal point for finding these documents?  I want to add it to the Home Page but cannot find it?

Thanks for visiting the Community. 

We will need to turn on the Purchase Order feature. 

  1. Go to Edit menu and Choose Preferences.
  2. Select Items & Inventory.
  3. Under Company Preferences tab, check the box for Inventory and Purchase Order are active.
  4. Click OK.

The Gear icon is available for QuickBooks Online platform. However, if you wanted to add shortcut on your icon bar, you may do so.

View menu >Customize Icon Bar >Select options that you want to show on your icon bar.

The GEAR is found for QB Online; you are using Desktop.

It hasn't changed since QB 2010:
Lists menu > Templates List.
