Hi, barcop1956.
I'm here to help with your concern about getting your bank statements into QuickBooks Online (QBO).
QBO has a feature where you can compare what you record within the software with your bank statement to ensure everything matches. Usually, you can only get the last 90 days' worth of the bank statements or up to a certain date depending on what your bank allows.
I'd recommend logging in to your bank's website and downloading your previous year's bank statements from there. You can then manually attach them to your reconciled accounts. Here's how:
- In your QBO account, go to Reconcile.
- Select History by account.
- Under the STATEMENT column, select Attach and upload the bank statement to a corresponding month.
- Drag the bank statement file.
- Select Done.
Should you encounter reconciliation issues in QBO, let me add these articles as guides:
- Fix issues the first time you reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online
- Fix issues at the end of a reconciliation in QuickBooks Online
- Fix issues for accounts you've reconciled in the past in QuickBooks Online
