Can the accounts be reset

Thanks for posting in the Community, Wilma. I can help you with the steps so we can start over with QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

To begin with, we need to consider some factors before starting over with QuickBooks. 

• We need to sign in as an admin. 
• We need to learn to manage data and check our privacy center. 
• During the process, any data that has been imported from QuickBooks Time will also be deleted. 
• Find out more about moving the list to a new company so we can reuse the current list after starting over. 

After considering these factors, we can proceed in starting over. 

Here's how: 

If your book is 60 days old or older

1. Cancel your current company. 
2. Start a new company. 

• Sign up for QuickBooks Online.
• Enter your user ID and password. You can use the same user ID and password as before.
• Optional: If your previous company had payroll, make sure to add Payroll in Step 2 of the sign-up process.

If your book is less than 60 days old

1. Make sure your company is ready. 
2. Delete your company data. 

• Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account as an admin.
• Once you're signed in, you can go to this web address: https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
  • To confirm you want to delete your company data, enter Yes, then select OK.
  • Select your industry from the ▼ dropdown.
  • Select Create accounts based on my industry. This helps QuickBooks set up your chart of accounts after your data is wiped. 
  • Don't select Create an empty chart of accounts unless you've checked with your accountant first.
  • Select Wipe data.
