I appreciate your Community post, @cam-mosscrossing. I've got some tips about hiding a bank balance for checks in QuickBooks Online.
The bank balance automatically appears next to the account when you create a check and choose a bank account to link it to. If that's the balance you'd prefer to hide, that option is unavailable right now.
On the other hand, if you're printing checks, there's no reason for you to hide it. Viewing the preview and print sample will allow you to verify it. This is how:
- Go to the Expenses menu then select the Expenses tab.
- Locate the check, then click on Print/Edit.
- Select Print setup from the bottom.
- Proceed to letter C and click on View preview and print sample.
Lastly, if it's the bank balance column of the account where the check is deducted that you want to remove, you can uncheck the Bank Balance from the settings icon. Here's how:
- Go to the Accounting menu.
- Select Chart of Accounts.
- Select the Gear icon from the banking register. It's located above the Action column.
- Unselect the Bank Balance box.
Go back to the main register page and you should now see the bank balance hidden.
