When you open a vendor invoice a "Add Bill" pops up on the right-hand side of the screen. This lags down the load time and I do not use it. Is there a way to turn it off?

Hello there, tina-arcsoutheas.

Please note that the option to disable the "Add to Bill" pop-up window that displays when creating a vendor invoice or bill is currently unavailable. I'll provide insights on how it works in QuickBooks so you can accurately manage your transactions.

When you create a bill in QuickBooks, a pop-up message about adding an entry might appears automatically. It allows you to easily and quickly link an existing transaction. It could be a vendor has an open purchase order, which is why the "Add to Bill" button displays.

To verify this, you can consider visiting the Vendor section and finding the particular person. You can then open their profile to see all transactions tied to this vendor.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Expenses menu on the left panel.
  2. Choose Vendors.
  3. Locate the vendor and click their name.
  4. Go to the Transaction List section.
  5. Find the purchase order.

Meanwhile, you'll need to manually click the arrow to hide the side panel. This is done to ignore the adding transaction question.

In case you need a specific report that will reflect all payments made to vendors, you can read this article to view the process: Run a report with vendor totals.
