Hello,

One of my clients manages his business from abroad. The business office is abroad.

Can we deduct the rent of the office, office expenses such as electricity and water, office supplies and materials?

You can deduct the rent for your office and other expenses incurred abroad, @Ugur01.

Bookkeepers and accountants can record expenses in different currencies by enabling the multi-currency feature in their accounting software. This feature allows them to enter expenses and payments in multiple currencies, which are then automatically converted to their base currency for reporting purposes.

Here’s how to add a vendor with their currency:

1. Go to Expenses and click on Vendors.

2. Click on the New Vendor button.

3. If it's your first time adding a vendor, click on Add Vendor.

4. From the Currency dropdown, select the desired foreign currency.

5. Enter the vendor's complete information, including their name, and then click on Save.

However, if you're a business owner and you need to bill an expense, it's important to ensure that the client you're billing to is set up for multi-currency. This means that they're able to pay in different currencies, which can be helpful if you have clients in different parts of the world. By setting up your client for multi-currency, you can avoid any billing issues and ensure that you get paid for your work promptly.
