Category Disappeared on my Bill Section

All of my chart of accounts category disappeared and won't come back, the techs cannot seem to fix it.

I cannot work until this is fixed, any thoughts ?

You may be experiencing some browser-related issues. Let's run some steps to fix why the category section disappear.

 

To start with, log into your account in an incognito window. Incognito won't save your browsing history, which can result in unusual behavior.

 

You can use these keyboard keys to open one:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari: ⌘ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

 

Also, you'll want to clear the cache and make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date browser. It can fix any browser-related issues.

We did this several times, the Tech staff cannot figure it out and remain un-helpful. I don't know what to do ?

Cannot run my books with out this. My chart of accounts are in the program and my categories are also there just a broken link between the pages.

Since the issue persists after doing the steps provided above, it would be best to contact our support team again. They have full access to your account, and you can submit a request for investigation. They can also determine its main cause to ensure it won't happen again.

 

Here's how to contact our QuickBooks Online support:

 

  1. Proceed to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, select Talk to a human.
  3. Enter your concern in the Type something field, then click the send icon.
  4. Choose I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select the Chat with us or Have us call you option.

This just happened to me.  Were you able to get your categories back?  If so, how did you do it?
