Change Colum Display Name in QBE Report

Struggling to find out how to do what seems like a simple task.  I have a customized report of purchase orders and one of the columns is "Other 1".  How do I rename the column name on the report?

The Community has your back, @EdNewman. 

 

Changing the column name for Other 1 can be done with ease. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Vendors menu and select Create Purchase Orders.
  2. Click Customize Data Layout.
  3. Under the Title column, edit the name for Other 1.
  4. Click OK.

 

Doing this will automatically change the column name for Other 1.

That changes it in the Purchase Order screen as well as on the printed purchase order, which I had already done.  My problem is the column title on a report.

Changing the Other name in the reports column is unavailable. As a workaround, you can export the report to Excel and rename it from there. Let me guide you how.

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Purchases then click Open Purchase Orders Detail.
  3. Click the Excel button, then select either Create New Worksheet or Update Existing Worksheet.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
