Change to Email Invoices - QBENT 2023

What in the world is this new email format when sending invoices in QBDT2023. 

1. WHY does the FILE Name appear in the invoice template instead of the COMPANY name in the file? 

2. WHY does this new format look like a complete scam email? 

3. WHY is there a TINY “pay now” button underneath the amount due? With no other prompt that the client can pay online? 

 

This is absolutely embarrassing to send and will greatly impact our client’s paying online because they are not going to see the tiny pay now box. I am absolutely livid and want to know when Intuit will be fixing this.

For some reason, the file name appears in the invoice template instead of the company name due to a configuration or customization setting in QuickBooks Desktop 2023. The template is set up to display the file name instead of the company name. You may want to check your template settings.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Select the Send Forms menu and then the Company Preferences tab.
  3. From the Delivery Method Default drop-down menu, pick Email.
  4. From the Email Templates drop-down menu, select a transaction type. You can create multiple templates for each transaction type transaction listed. Select Add Template.
  5. Give your template a name.
  6. Customize the subject line and body.
  7. Choose the Insert Field to put a dynamic data field in your email.
  8. Select Save. After you close the template, select OK in the Company Preferences tab.

 

On the other side, all QuickBooks users can provide product ideas anytime concerning the email invoice template. There is no limit to how much or how often you can submit feedback or thoughts to our developers.

  1. Hover your mouse over the menu and choose the Help button.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online.

You and the QB Team are continually telling us how to customize a template. We already know how you customize a template. What we CANNOT customize is your email format that pulls in the FILE name instead of the COMPANY information. We also cannot customize or change the new awful email design that came with this last update. When will this be fixed?

I'll elaborate some information about how QuickBooks works, jennisbsvb.

 

As what @ChristineJoieR mentioned on her previous reply, once you saved the invoice template, the file name will show instead of the company name. As an alternative, you can set the file name to company name so it would show the correct information on your invoice template.

 

I still recommend sending feedback to let our product team know that having the option to name an invoice template is important for your business. To do so, I've provided the directions below to show you how:

 

  1. Go to the the Help menu.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online.
  3. Then click the Product Suggestion.
