I got a quick question.

if you are doing an import from another application into Quickbooks, must All the account names from the program you importing from match that in quickbooks ? or is it that the only the account numbers have to match ? or both ?

QB only checks the name of Account. Account Number is a mere complementary data.

Thanks for the reply. will look either renaming those fields in the application or adding new ones to quickbooks.

When importing transactions, use the account name. If you use a new name without setting up the account first, then it will be added as a Bank account, the default. (At least if you are importing using an IIF file.)
