Construction Online Integration with Quickbooks

Hello,

We use Construction Online (a program for construction management purposes) and it integrates with QuickBooks.  For example, I can send Estimates created in Construction Online to QuickBooks.  Construction Online estimates have both a "Category" and "Subcategory" (ie:  Category is Planning and Subcategory is Architect) and both import into QuickBooks as a Product/Service titled "Category" and "Name" and into the Estimate accordingly.

Here's my problem:  Only the Subcategory affects QuickBooks Chart of Accounts (COAs) and subsequently Budget reports.  So, in my example above only "Architect" is reflected.   I need the Category to be reflected in the COAs and on Budget reports.  I reviewed Settings and watched many videos trying to figure this out.

Any Suggestions

You have to get in touch with Construction Online support to manage your transactions before syncing them to QuickBooks Online (QBO), Springhouse.

Please know that QBO is a software that works with data that comes directly from the transactions entered by your third-party program. To keep your reports organized, it's important to set up and categorize your transaction types from Construction Online before linking them with QuickBooks.

For accurate reports, I'd highly recommend contacting your third-party program support for help with managing your transactions from their side. Once you've everything set up correctly, QuickBooks will automatically sort and update your transactions, thus ensuring accuracy and organization in your accounting.

Additionally, I'll share this article in case you want to learn how to customize reports and focus on the details that suit your business needs: Customize reports.
