Question

Contractor's time sheets have been approved in QB Time; I can see them in QB, but the entries are not showing up on the customer's unbilled income so I cannot invoice.

It's possible you may have your Automatically invoice unbilled activity setting activated. When it's active, QuickBooks will automatically create invoices of unbilled time activities for you.

You can check this in your Account and settings screen.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Account and settings.
  2. Access your Advanced tab, then click the Automation area's Pencil icon.
  3. Look at your Automatically invoice unbilled activity option and confirm if it's turned on or off.
  4. If necessary, turn it on or off.
  5. Select Save if you made any changes.

In the event your setting was activated, the unbilled activities should've been invoiced automatically. You can verify this by checking your customer's profile for the relevant invoices. You can also filter your audit log  for invoices created by "System Administrator" to locate them.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with your Automatically invoice unbilled activity option which may come in handy moving forward: Automatically invoice unbilled time activities

I'll be here to help if there's any additional information you'd like to provide. Have a wonderful Thursday!
