Creating a 2018 budget

We are a small non profit new to the QuickBooks online version.  With our old version of QB we downloaded 3 years of budgets and actuals into a spreadsheet and used that as a worksheet for the new year budget.  Then everything had to be reentered.  Generating the budget in a worksheet made it easy for different people to update their portion of the budget and see overall impact.  Any suggestions on how to do something similar to this with the online version of QuickBooks?

Thanks,

Bob

    Hi there, Bob.

I'd be happy to lend a hand with your budget.

To create a budget, you can go to the Gear icon, select Budgeting, and click Add Budget. Once it's created, click Save, and then you should be back on the budgeting screen. As long as you give them permission, other users are able to enter data into the budget as well.

If you'd prefer to export the budget to Excel and update it there, first, click the drop down arrow next to Edit on the budget. Select Run Budget Overview report. Click the Export icon (next to the Print icon) at the top right corner of the report.

Please let me know if this is what you're looking for, or if there's anything else I can do to help.
