Question

Credit card statement and categories - how can I show business credit card statement paid if various categories are in the statement? IE: materials/supplies and gas/fuel?

Will I still need to enter each transaction separately from the statement?

Hi there.

I appreciate you for posting your questions here in the QuickBooks Community page about categorizing your transactions correctly. I'm here to provide you insights about categorizing your credit card transactions and ensure that your financial records are accurate.

To accurately reflect your business credit card transactions with different categories like materials, supplies, and gas/fuel, you'll need to enter each transaction separately. This way, you can ensure all your business expenses are accurately categorized and your credit card payments are properly recorded. Regular review and categorization will help maintain accurate financial records and simplify tax preparation.

Additionally, you can also learn how to categorize money transfers in QBSE.
