Question

Credit Card transactions not showing in unpaid bills or A/P aging reports

Hello all,

We currently have a vendor "bankcard" (our company credit card) that we 'enter bills' transactions to and they show up in unpaid bills & ap aging reports.

I want to start entering credit cards on right side under "enter credit card charges". I entered a few over there to test but they do not show in unpaid bills or ap aging report?  Do I not have something setup that they would not show balance on those reports.

Fairly new to QB.

Thanks, Chad.

We're glad to have you here today, Chad.

Let me provide some information about credit card transactions and the report that you can run to view them.

When using a credit card, you are borrowing funds to make purchases or pay bills. However, these transactions are not considered bills and will not show up in the Unpaid Bills or Accounts Payable Aging reports. Instead, to get a comprehensive list of your credit card transactions, I suggest running a Transaction Detail report. This report will provide you with an overview of all the charges and payments you've made using your credit card.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports on the top menu.
  2. Hover on Custom Reports and then select Transaction Detail.
  3. Adjust the date range to your desired settings.
  4. On the Filters tab, select the Credit Card account.
  5. Click OK.

Once done, you'll have a custom transaction detail report listing your credit card transactions. You can also customize the report further to suit your needs better.
