Custom Fields Not Working Pick List

We are working QBES 21. We have created 3 custom fields on inventory items and enabled them on the pick list template.

We followed the instructions here:

However, when we print a pick list template, those fields are not populating with data. The form is the correct template, but those columns are blank. Are we missing additional steps?

Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community! The reason why the fields aren't populating is that the pick list template cannot be customized to add those fields. The only templates that can be customized to do things of that nature are:

 

  • Sales receipts
  • Invoices
  • Estimates
  • Statements
  • Purchase orders
  • Bill payment stubs

 

To learn more about customizing form templates, this is an excellent resource. 

 

 

I've sent this feature request to our Product Enhancement Team, though, because I do see the benefit of having this. I'm including the steps below on how you can also send your suggestion/feedback:

 

  1. Click the Help tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online.
  3. Click Product Suggestion.

Thank you for this information. It's good to know why the custom fields do not show on the pick list. We will just have to print both a pick list and another form that shows those fields.
