I am needing to create a Profit and Loss statement that has a column for the month, % of income for the month, Year to Date, % of income for Year to Date.  Is there a way to include all 4 of these columns in one report or customize one to include all 4 columns?

Thanks for reaching out to us, hpolsky. I'm here to provide some insights about customizing your financial reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Currently, the closest available customization to see the columns you need is to run the Profit & Loss Standard report. You can follow the steps below to proceed:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Company & Financial, then pick Profit & Loss Standard.
  3. Tap Customize Report.
  4. From the Display tab, choose the date range for the specific month.
  5. From the Add Subcolumns for, place a checkmark in the Year-To-Date% of YTD, and % of Income checkboxes.
  6. Once done, hit OK.

Refer to this article for more details about customizing financial reports: Customize company and financial reports.

However, if you need additional customization or need a specific column other than this, I suggest sending your thoughts to our developers about having the option to select specific columns in your P&L report. Ideas like this help identify the features our customers want the most for consideration in future enhancements. Simply go to the Help menu, select Send Feedback Online, and click Product Suggestion.

Additionally, you can check out this article to learn how to export reports as Excel workbooks (.xlsx), CSV spreadsheets, or PDFs from QBDT: Export reports as Excel workbooks in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'll be around to help if you have any other questions about financial reports. It's always my pleasure to help you out again. Stay safe!
