Customer last sales report

I would like to send a postcard to every customer that I worked for last August. I don't want to send them a postcard if I have worked for them since then. Is there a report I can run?

On desktop I used to run sales transaction list by customer and click on each customer to see the recent transactions.  I don't know what to use with online.  Thank you.

Greetings, suncarpet! It's delightful to have you here in our Community forum. We're glad to help you identify the customers you worked with during a specific timeframe in QuickBooks Online.

Thank you for choosing QuickBooks as your partner in handling your business activities. Similar to QBDT, you can run the Transaction List by Customer report. You may adjust the reporting period, then customize it by filtering out the column for customers to access the names of the customers you need to know. I'd gladly walk you through the process:

  1. Click the Reports menu, then enter the Transaction List by Customer
  2. Navigate the Report period
  3. Click the Gear icon, then hit the Customer checkbox.
  4. Select Run report.

But if there is a customer that I worked for already again since that time I don't want to send them a postcard.  Desktop used to show me the recent transactions when I drilled down. I only want to send postcards to customers that I haven't worked for in the last year. Is there any report I can run based on their last sale date?

Hi there, suncarpet.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) are two different versions with different features. In QBO, there isn't a direct way to show the last date of sale for each customer. However, you can add a column to see the transactions sorted by date.

Also, you can export the data to Excel, where you would have more flexibility to remove the columns according to your needs.

I've added screenshots for your reference.

You can refer to this article for more details about reports in QBO:

Furthermore, you can also memorize the report to save its current customization settings. It will serve as your record and help you quickly access it for future use.
