Customer payment receipts

My customer payment receipt has been reduced to only containing a number sequence, date, and invoice amount.  It no longer contains the invoice # or a total amount paid totaling up the invoice payments.  And it doesn't show anywhere on the receipt if a credit memo was applied to the payment.

Your customer payment receipt will display details according to the invoice template you're using, HHSE. We'd recommend utilizing the Airy classic design to view all the data you need. I'll gladly show you how to do this below.

If you're using the old layout, here's how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and then select Custom form styles.
  2. Find your template and click Edit under the Action column.
  3. Select the Design tab.
  4. Click the Change up the template option.
  5. Choose Airy classic.
  6. Select Done.

If you're utilizing the new layout, you can refer to this article's Customize invoices and estimates with the new layout section for the complete guide: Personalize and add specific info to your sales forms in QuickBooks Online.

After that, open your receive payment transaction and print it to verify the update.

Additionally, you can pull up the Transaction Detail by Account report to show a list of invoices due on a specific date range. Please see this article for the complete guide: Customize report to see invoices due in QuickBooks Online.

Please feel free to get back to this thread if you have other concerns about customer payment receipts in QuickBooks. I'd be more than happy to help.
