Customer Statements

Does anyone know if there is a way to show invoice details on a customer statement? When I say this, I mean show receipt information of items purchased for that invoice. On the old QuickBooks Financial or Enterprise desktop version all you needed to do is expand the statement to show the items purchased. The online version is not as friendly. Now it just shows open invoices with no details and a balance total at the bottom.

Welcome to the Community, CKTL.

Sending statements with invoice details is not available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). At this time, you can send the invoice manually so that the customers can see the transaction details.

We understand how beneficial it is for your business. No worries, our engineers are continuously enhancing our product. While the feature is unavailable yet, I recommend sending feedback directly to our engineers so that it'll be included in the upcoming updates.

Here's how to submit feedback to QBO:

  1. Select Settings, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Once submitted, you can track your feature request through QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

In addition, you can consider checking this article to personalize and add specific info to your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online
