I would like to be able to have a total of each chart of account that was used on a deposit.

Sometimes I have rather large deposits and 4 or more chart of accounts are used --  I would like to get a total that was in each account for specific deposits.

Any way of achieving this?

Thanks

You can go to the Deposit Detail Report to view the total amount in each chart of accounts you input for deposit transactions, PeggyBarnes. Allow me to guide you on how to do it seamlessly.

The Deposit Detail Report allows you to provide a complete overview of your deposits made into your bank account. It includes information on each deposit, such as the date, amount, and the total amount of the said account.

To locate the Deposit Detail Report, here's how:

  1. On the left panel, go to the Reports tab.
  2. In the Find report by name dropdown, type "Deposit Detail."
  3. Under the Report period dropdown, select the date you wish to see in the detailed report.
  4. In the Columns tab, check on the details you want to include in your report.
  5. Use the Filter tab to choose the transaction you want to view from the Filter by dropdown.

For additional reference, here's a guide on how to customize reports in QuickBooks Online to filter the specific details you want to see. Once you have set your preferences, you can save them by clicking "Save Customization" so that you don't have to customize the report again if you need the same information.

Furthermore, refer to this article if you want to save the customized report for easy future access: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.
