Question

Did the Invoice DUE date when you are in and editing an invoice change? I do not see the invoice due date anymore when actually in the invoice but shows on the dashboard

I used to  be able to go in and edit the date of the invoice based not on net terms dates. I have instances when final due amount is due at another time from the initial deposit and it may vary from customer to customer. I see the invoice date and shipping date. I don't even see the net days anymore within the invoice. I am not interested in changing the default but would like to just go in and change the date.

I understand it can be challenging when things aren't working as expected, parlayeight. I'm here to help you sort this out so you can easily view and modify the due dates.

I tried to edit a couple of invoices and I can still see and change the due dates. Have you tried logging in to your account in an incognito or private browsing session? A build-up of saved data or cookies can interfere with how the program works.

This can also help us identify if the issue is specific to your account or part of a broader problem. Here's how to open an incognito browsing session:

  1. Open your browser and click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select "New Incognito Window" or "New Private Window" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Log in to your QBO account in the new window.

Alternatively, you can switch to a different web browser and log into your account. You can use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.

Once done, log back in and check if you can now see the due dates when editing your invoices.

If you can see it, go back to regular browsing and follow the steps in this article on how to clear out some saved data: Clear Cache And Cookies To Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks Online.

I have a few more articles to share in case you need more guidance and reference when creating invoices in QBO:
