Display the accounts that I use at the top of Chart of Accounts rather than trying to scroll thru all the accounts to find them.

How do I sort Chart of Accounts in Quickbooks Online so the accounts that I use are placed at the top of the list.  Eg.  Chart of Accounts says that I'm using 15 of 250 accounts.  I'd like to have those 15 accounts at the top of my list rather than scroll thru all 250 accounts to figure out which ones Quickbooks says that I actually use.

Thank you for coming here in the Community. I can help share information about sorting your account in the Chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.

 

Currently, the option to sort your account to the most frequently used is unavailable. Please know our product engineers updates regularly to improve the functionality of our product. 

 

For now, I recommend sending feedback about sorting it by most frequently used directly to our engineers. We also make updates depending on our customer's feedback.

 

  1. Click on the Gear icon located at the top.
  2. Choose the "Feedback" option.
  3. Enter your comments or suggestions regarding the product.
  4. Click on "Next" to submit your feedback.
     

 

Additionally, you can organize your accounts quickly by using the numbers you assigned to them, whether you're searching in Chart of Account or adding transaction: Use account numbers in your chart of accounts.
