Tags is working in the old invoice layout, but doesn't appear as an option in the new invoice layout.  How do I turn on tags in the new invoice layout?

I appreciate you for posting your concern here today, @KPDavid. I'm here to provide some insights about the tag feature in the new invoice layout format of QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, the new invoice layout has some features that aren't available yet, and this includes the tags feature.

For more information about some features that aren't available for new estimates and invoices in QBO, please refer to this article: See what's new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

While we're unable to provide an exact time frame when this feature becomes available in the new invoice layout, I suggest using the old layout instead. Here's how:

  1. Click the + New button.
  2. Select Invoice or Estimate
  3. At the top right of the form, select Old layout.

In addition, you can personalize and add specific info to your invoice and other form styles in QBO. To know more about it, you can check out the detailed steps in this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Don't hesitate to reply anytime if you still have questions or clarifications with the new invoices in QBO. I'm more than happy to assist you. Take care and have a great day ahead!
