The new template adds sales tax whether customer is taxable or not.  Originally sales tax could not be removed.  I spent hours on the phone with "tech Support" trying three different browsers all had the same problem, so it is the software.  I was finally told they would have it fixed in a week or so case # xxxxxxxxxxx.  Meaning I could not invoice for a week.  Once I tried again the template added sales tax whether customer was marked for no tax.  At least this time I could remove IF I REMEMBERED.  Pointless modifications supposedly improvements tested on paying members.

We acknowledge the challenges you're facing due to the new invoice template, Keith. I'm here to make sure your experience gets better.

It's essential to ensure that non-taxable customers are correctly identified as such when creating invoices, irrespective of the templates being used. As you have already reached out to our support team regarding this matter, I suggest contacting them again to inquire about any progress or updates on resolving this issue.

To reach a live representative:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online Company.
  2. Click on the Help button at the top of the page.
  3. Choose the Search tab, then click Contact us.
  4. Type in your concern, and click Continue.
  5. Under Callback, click Have us call you button. This will route you to enter your details.
  6. After that, select Get a call.
  7. You will now be added to the queue and wait for us to call you.

In the meantime, please manually untick the tax in the tax column to not calculate.
