Does anyone else have this prob? Expense categ have vanished & shows “not categorized.” No updated available for app and restarted phone and still missing.

Since you've confirmed there's no updates available for the mobile app and have tried restarting your phone, I'd recommend confirming you have a strong internet connection. If you do, and the problem continues, you'll want to try offloading/clearing data from your app.

 

Here's how to offload data on iOS devices:
 

  1. Go to the phone's settings.
  2. Access General, then iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap QuickBooks Online from your application list.
  4. Select Offload App.

 

Here's how to offload data on Android devices:
 

  1. Go to the phone's settings, then Apps.
  2. Tap QuickBooks Online.
  3. In your Storage section, select Clear Data.

 

After performing these steps, you can try categorizing bank transactions again. In the event expense categories continue not displaying, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
