Hey there. I can share a workaround for this issue with your price rules not applying, Frosty.

By default, your customized price rules automatically apply as you add items to your sales transactions.

Also, It's important to note that if a customer/item combination is eligible for more than one price rule, the default sales rate for that item will be displayed. To apply a price rule, select the rate field dropdown and choose which rule to use.

If you have recurring transactions, the rate of the item will remain the same as it was when they were created. So, if you used a price rule when creating the recurring transaction, it will continue using that same rate, even if that price rule expires.

However, if this isn't the case, let's perform troubleshooting on your end. One of the reasons why your current changes are not applying is due to cache buildup. First, let's open your account in a private browser. You can follow these shortcut keys:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the error is fixed after this, then the issue is likely caused by your browser. You'll want to clear your regular browser cache while remembering to exclude the cookies. Another option is to use other supported browsers.

Additionally, refer to this helpful article if you want to apply price rules to specific customers only: Set up and assign customer types in QuickBooks Online.
