We can think of several scenarios when you say you want to change banks in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Banditboyz. We'll discuss them below.

You're maybe referring to any of the following:

  • Subscription and billing details
  • Account information for online banking
  • The funding source for online bill payments
  • Payroll bank account
  • Deposit bank account for QuickBooks Payments

If you need to update your bank account used for your subscription, do these steps to complete the process:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.
  2. Select Settings ⚙, then Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Next to your payment method, select Edit ✎.
  4. This will launch the Wallet list. From this view you can:
    • Edit the payment method used for QuickBooks Online billing (expiration date, billing address, account holder name)
    • Add a new payment to be used for QuickBooks Online billing
    • Switch QuickBooks Online billing to previously stored payment method
  5. After saving your change, the payment method will be displayed on the Subscriptions and billing page.

If you want to change your account information connected to QuickBooks, we'll do this on the Banking page. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu and select Bank transactions.
  2. Select the blue tile for your linked bank account.
  3. Click the Edit icon.
  4. Choose either Edit sign-in info or Edit account info.

On the other hand, in case you want to revise your funding source for online bill payments, payroll account, and/or your deposit bank account for QuickBooks Payments, please select any of the links below for the detailed steps:

Additionally, we recommend regularly reconciling your accounts (monthly) to effectively track your income and expense transactions.
