Question

Does anyone know if it's possible to connect a Shopify store to Quickbooks so that it will log payments, and also sync inventory?

Yes, it's possible to connect the Shopify app using QuickBooks connectors or other outside connectors, @dan204. Allow me to provide steps and details.

You can use the Shopify Connector by QuickBooks to sync products, orders, and payouts into QuickBooks to record sales. To start connecting the said app with QBO and begin tracking inventory, you'll have to go to the Apps menu in your QBO account or go to the QuickBooks Online App Store and look for the app.

On the other hand, you can look for another connector outside QuickBooks that will allow you to sync inventory and payments.

Moreover, you can check out this article to view steps on how you can disconnect an app that you no longer use: Disconnect an app and change your subscription.

Please don't hesitate to leave a comment if you have further concerns about connecting Shopify to our program. I'm always around to help.

Did you see the reviews on this app, they are horrible.  Essentially it's very un-user friendly.  It doesn't make life easier, in fact much harder and basically useless?

@dan204

It a free connector and the functionality is limited. You should consider having a paid connector app for a reliable solution.

As an alternative to the solutions already mentioned, I recommend using Skyvia for this task. It is a SaaS platform specifically designed for seamless data integration and synchronization. It allows you to connect your Shopify store to QuickBooks to automatically log payments and sync inventory.

Additionally, you can schedule synchronization to occur at intervals close to real-time, ensuring your data remains up-to-date.
