I work for a Non-Profit and we use Donor Statements to track our donations. I am wanting to send a end of the year total and was trying to find a report for each individual donor. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

**We use Quickbooks Desktop 2021

QuickBooks won't create proper donor statements for a period. Instead, use our BRC Donor Statements - Desktop  application, which will pull data directly from QuickBooks and create ready-to-print statements in Excel. It has many options to format and layout the donation details as well as the ability to enter custom messages to your donors, add your logo and signature, and also support duplex printing to save paper.

I've used your software for years and love it! I just switched to Mac and QB Online and am so disappointed to see it does not work with Mac.

Hi dklAtlanta,

Thank you for your feedback. QuickBooks Online is much simpler and has fewer functions designed for small businesses. You may go back to using a Mac version. If you want to continue to use the QBO version, let us know if you have questions. You can also click the Training menu above for the Video tutorials.

We're just right here to help. Take care.

Hello, @ppatrick.

Allow me to show you how to create a donor statement.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Customers menu at the top.
  2. Select Create Statements.
  3. Choose the appropriate A/R account.
  4. Set the Statement Date.
  5. Select the date period of the transactions.
  6. Choose the donor's name.
  7. Set the additional options.

You'll also want to pull up donor reports:

  1. Go to the Reports menu at the top.
  2. Select Industry Specific.
  3. Click Nonprofit Reports.

For more additional details on this matter, see this article: Create a billing statement

If there's anything else I can do to help, feel free to post here anytime and any day. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an excellent day.

  3. Choose the appropriate A/R account.

An A/R statement is not a donor statement. A donor statement shows all reportable donations for a period.  Does an A/R statement do that? No, it doesn't.

I was able to use BRC for my donor statements last year in QBO.  Now we changed to Mac computers and BRC won't work with MAC Excel.  Help anyone?????
