Hi there, @usertriad. Let me share insights about why the Excel credit card transactions are showing up as a credit and not an expense inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Credit card transactions will show as a credit and not an expense because credit cards are a type of liability by nature. When you use your credit card to make a purchase, that transaction will show in your credit balance, which means that credit balance increases as you use your card.

In your case, make sure that the CSV file has the correct posting of debit and credit to avoid issues and reupload them again. Before uploading, delete the manually added transactions from your bank feeds. I'll show you how:

  1. In Transactions, go to Bank Transactions
  2. Click the For Review tab.
  3. Choose the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  4. Hit Exclude
  5. Click the Excluded tab and select the transaction you want to delete.
  6. Select Delete.

On the other hand, use this link to guide you in reviewing bank and credit card transactions downloaded in QBO: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online
