Draft invoices have disappeared

This is similar to the ongoing issue that QB has had with entire histories of invoices disappearing, usually only temporarily for days or weeks at a time. This time, recently created draft invoices have disappeared (ones created maybe 5 days ago), and new drafts are immediately erased after saving them. Posting here since the online assistant is currently/indefinitely broken as well.

To start, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to determine if this is a browser-related issue. The initial step is to access your QBSE account via incognito mode. This does not store cache files that may cause odd behaviors when running web-based programs. Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

Then, create a draft invoice, save it, and check if it never disappeared. If this works, clear the cache of your regular browser to eliminate piled-up data. If the issue persists, you can use another supported browser or device. It might be that the current one you're using has a temporary issue with the program.
