Hi there, qbayle1.

I'm here to help you troubleshoot an issue you're having with viewing your forwarded receipts in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Firstly, please ensure that the email address you use to forward receipts to QBSE is the same one you use to sign in to QBSE. Additionally, be sure to avoid using any special characters in your email address.

If you're still having trouble, let's try isolating the issue by checking if it's caused by your browser. To do this, open your QBSE account in a private window using the keyboard shortcuts below:

For Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Opera:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + N

For Firefox:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + P

For Safari:

  • Shift + Command ⌘ + N

Once you're signed in, forward a receipt to your email and check if you can receive it with no issues. If everything works smoothly, you can proceed to clear your browser's cache. Otherwise, you can also use other supported browsers.

I'd like to share this article for more information on emailing receipts so QuickBooks automatically records them: Forward receipt images to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once the transaction is in QBSE, you can proceed to categorize it. Here's a handy guide on how to do it: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
