I can share some insights about the receipts processing in QuickBooks Online. Currently, this feature works for expenses and bills categorization. It allows you to upload receipt images and link it to your expense transactions.
While we can't attach receipts on customer lists or transactions, use the Attachment feature for it. Here's how to attach files in the Attachments page:
Go to the Gear icon and select Attachments.
Click the Attachments icon to open the files.
Hold the CTRL button on your keyboard and select the items to upload.
Once everything is selected, release the CTRL button and hit Open.
To attach documents on transactions:
Open any income or expense transactions in QBO.
At the bottom click the Attachments icon.
Do steps 3 and 4 from the instruction above.
To attach files to customer profiles:
Tap the Sales menu on the left and choose Customers.
Click the customer name then press Edit.
At the bottom, click the Attachments tab, and tap the box showing Drag/Drop files here or click the icon.
Pick a file from your drive then save the changes.
Would it or is it possible to connect my Home Depot account to QuickBooks online. Home Depot for example has digital copies of all Credit Card the I add. This would save a lot of time versus having to snap shot every receipt. I can dream right...👍
As an additional option, utilize having a construction management app to integrate with your QBO. You may get a better job costing report and import receipts from vendors.
