Hi there, Jason.

I understand you need to let the customer see the rate amount from the estimate transaction you created in QuickBooks Online. I'm here to assist you in handling this case.

If you're using a Bundle type of product and entered zero quantity, the bundle's rate will become zero. However, if you display the items listed on the bundle, it will show the rate of the items below it.

To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. On the left menu, hover over Sales and pick Products & Services.
  2. Look for the Bundle type item and click Edit under its ACTION column.
  3. Scroll down to the Items included in the bundle section.
  4. Enable the Display bundle items when printing or sending transactions option.
  5. Hit Save.

If you notice a zero rate appearing when you enter zero quantity for a Service, Non-Inventory, or Inventory type item in an estimate, you need to troubleshoot your browser's cache. Sometimes, our browser fills too much cache, which could cause malfunctions to some features or slow down a website. Let's start with accessing QuickBooks Online using incognito mode or a private window.

Here are the shortcut keys to go private mode in a browser:

For Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Opera:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + N

For Firefox:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + P

For Safari:

  • Shift + Command ⌘ + N

If this works, you can proceed to clear your browser's cache and cookies to clear temporary files running in your browser that have caused the malfunctions. Otherwise, you can also use other supported browsers to ensure it runs QBO efficiently.

Additionally, you can also consider customizing your estimates in QuickBooks Online to personalize the looks in your forms.

Let me know if you have additional concerns about estimates in QuickBooks Online. I'm here to assist you any time.
