Question

Expensify integration with QBO

I have a question about exporting data from Expensify to QuickBooks. We just recently synched our Expensify to feed into QBO, and most of it is going great! When we export Expensify reports to a QB bill, everything transfers over fine. However, when we create an invoice to bill project expenses, the Product/Service cell does not populate with anything, even though we have Categories and Track Classes on in our QBO Settings. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for joining the Community, KB_RSG. I appreciate your detailed information.

When using the auto-recall feature for invoices, your only data that will be pre-filled is its Location field. If you'd prefer to have pre-filled invoices to use for a customer, you can create a recurring transaction template.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Recurring transactions.
  2. Click New and choose Invoice.
  3. Hit OK.
  4. Enter a template name.
  5. Pick a Type.
  6. Enter any necessary information.
  7. Select Save template.

I've also included a couple detailed resources about working with the auto-recall feature and recurring invoices which may come in handy moving forward:

If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have an awesome Monday!
