Welcome to the Community, Nicole.

Let me answer your inquiry regarding linking a customer to a project and fixed assets in your QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, you cannot directly link your fixed assets to a customer. Furthermore, you can create a Journal Entry if you want to record the sale of an asset to a customer. It's important to consult and seek guidance from your accountant to determine your asset's cost and depreciation and the accuracy of your records when doing so. Moreover, if you don't have an accountant for your business, you can find one by scanning this article: Find a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Moreover, to assign a customer to a project in your QBO account. You can follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Projects, then look and choose the project you want to assign a customer.
  2. Click the three-dot icon and choose Edit this project.
  3. On the Customer ▼ dropdown, select the customer.
  4. Once accomplished, select Done
