For some reason I can't change the email address of one of my contractors. Why is this happening, how do I change it?

For some reason when I try to edit the details the email address is grayed out and unchangeable. This is only happening to one contractor. All others I could change if I needed to.

I can provide the steps on how to change the email address of the contractor, MCSadmin.

 

You may need to update the information through the Expense page. And, I'm glad to show you how:

 

  1. Go to Expenses from the left menu, then choose Vendors.
  2. Locate the contractor from there and open the profile.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Edit the new email address.
  5. Select Save and close.
  6. Once done, refresh QuickBooks for changes to take effect.

If you want contractors to add their own tax information, you can invite them to QuickBooks Online.
