I am trying to print a 1096 for my forms NEC out of quickbooks 2023 desktop. It keeps checking the misc box on the 1096.  Have you encountered this problem.

Hello, @2711cathleen.

Let me share some information about printing 1096 for my forms NEC out of QuickBooks Desktop 2023.

One possible solution to fix this matter is updating your QBDT to the latest release to print your forms with the correct alignment. After updating the latest version, you might see this; if not, it only means that the updating is unsuccessful. See if you have the latest release available for your QuickBooks Desktop version:

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can review your account in a safe and secure environment. They also have the resources to conduct further investigation into why you're still unable to print your forms with the right alignment.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to reach us:

  1. On the top menu, click Help.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Click on Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue. Then, tap Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account. Then, press Continue and then Continue with my account.
  6. Enter the code you'll receive. Then, hit Continue.
  7. Choose to Chat with us or Have us call you.

You can check out our support hours here to ensure your concerns get addressed promptly: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.
