Group by tag group has stopped working in reports

I use tags for all of my expenses. When it is time to pay a credit card I run a transaction list by tag report for that card and select group by: "tag group name". This has been working since tags were introduced to QBO. Today when I ran a report all of the tags were in one group. I tried different accounts, alll of which have worked as expected up until now, and none of them are doing what I need any more. Has something been changed? Is there a fix?

I recognize the inconvenience of the tags feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO)not working as it should. This feature is important for efficiently categorizing transactions and understanding your spending.

 

Several customers reported that the Transaction List by Tag Group report displays tags in a single group rather than each applicable label. We can see the issue has caused the data on the statement to be out of order, but rest assured this will be handled with utmost urgency by our engineers.

 

I want to make sure you're in the loop on the progress of the investigation. That's why, we encourage all impacted customers to contact our QuickBooks Online (QBO) Care Team. One of our agents will add your company to the notification list to receive email updates. 

 

To obtain the support details:

 

  1. In your company, tap the Help icon in the upper right to display the support window.
  2. Choose the Assistant tab and enter a brief description of your concern in the Type something bar.
  3. Press the Get help from a human link to see more options.
  4. In the How would you like to connect with us? section, choose Chat to initiate a conversation and Callback to speak with an agent.

 

Our specialists are available from Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT (Plus, Essentials, Simple Start) and anytime for Advanced customers.

Any updates? I followed your instructions for connecting with a person via "help" but every time I try QB Assistant tells me they are having technical difficulties

I wanted to update you about this issue. Our product engineers are aware of the problem and have included it in their investigation report. They are currently working on resolving the issue and finding the root cause. Once the issue is fixed, 

 

While waiting for the fix, you can contact our support again so they can add you to the list of affected users. When our engineers release an update, you'll be notified through email about the updates of the investigation. You can follow the outlined steps provided by my colleague  @Rasa-LilaM.
