Has anyone been able to transfer your vehicle list from desktop version to the online version?

I believe I created a list and possibly labeled it vehicles or it was already pre-set up in the QuickBooks desktop version and trying to transfer it to my online version.

Hi there,

You'd be glad to know that migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online can also transfer your vehicle list. You can do this if you're migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QBO. However, if you're transferring a vehicle list only, you'll need to manually add them in your QBO since the feature to import vehicle lists isn't currently available.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Expenses, then select Mileage.
  2. Click the dropdown ▼ next to Add trip.
  3. Select Manage vehicles, then select Add vehicle.
  4. Enter your vehicle’s info.
  5. Select how you want to record your mileage for the year in the Tax info.
  6. Hit Save.

Additionally, here's an article that provides how featuers are moved from QBDT to QBO: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Using QuickBooks Online is a great choice! It has a lots of benefits that's worth moving into.
