Question

Has anyone else noticed 1099s sent out through QuickBooks with the incorrect Social/TIN but the correct socials are in the contractors profile?

Hi there, efruin.

Thank you for contacting the Community. We didn't receive any reports with similar issues to yours. I suggest contacting our customer support team to inquire about the incorrect Social/TIN on the 1099 sent out through QuickBooks despite the correct socials being present in the contractor's profile.

Here's how to connect with them:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner and click Talk to a human.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human," then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Choose Get help from a human.
  5. Pick between Start a chat or Get a callback

Additionally, I'll be sharing these links to help prepare and file your Federal 1099s with QuickBooks Online:

Thank you for your response. I did get a call back from a QuickBooks employee today. She indicated that she would delete the two incorrect 1099s so that I could start over and attempt to get the correct information before submitting. I waited a few hours and the two incorrect 1099s are still showing in the system and I'm unable to create two new ones. I now have to pay a secondary source to send this information and it will be late so I'll likely receive penalties from the IRS for late submissions and the incorrect submissions from QuickBooks. Extremely disappointed.
