Question

Has QBO decided to walk back forcing new "re-imagined". awful invoice released last month? The old invoice is working for me again. Want to know if it's going to stay?

Started switching back to Desktop and now all of a sudden the old invoice is available again. I print & mail because that is what my customers want. The new invoice was not only unprofessional looking but was un-readible when printed because font was microscopic.

The new invoices will soon likely be the only choice for all.

Going back to QuickBooks Desktop is still the best choice.

Hello there, dogdayspools.

I understand the frustration when a tool you rely on for your business changes in a way that doesn't work for you or your customers.

It's good to know that the old invoice format is available again. QuickBooks Online (QBO) received feedback about the new invoicing format and was considering options to address user concerns. However, we don't have an update if this change is permanent or whether further adjustments are planned.

We understand your need for functionality and would love to hear your thoughts about your experience when switching to modern views by sending us feedback within your QuickBooks Online company. It helps our developers consider permanently bringing back the old view.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
  3. Once done, click on Next.

Check this article for more information about the new invoice experience: What’s new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online?

Additionally, I've added this link to help manage invoice payments:

Record invoice payments.

Alternatively, you can follow BigRedConsulting's suggestion to switch back to QuickBooks Desktop.
