Hello, I have QB Self employed and I need direction on how to attach a receipt to an invoice. Would anyone be able to help me?

Hi there, Jesse. I've got some information about attaching receipts to invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed. 

 

I know how beneficial to have an option to attach receipts or files to the invoice. However, this feature is unavailable in the program. Thus, I recommend switching to QuickBooks Online to use this feature and expand your options in managing your business.  

 

However, if you want to send your customer the invoice with the receipts, you can export the invoice as a PDF file as a workaround. You can attach the image of the receipt with the invoice to the email and send it personally to your customer's email address. To download the invoice, you can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Invoices, then select the invoice you want to download.
  2. Click the More Actions dropdown, then select Export as PDF.

 

Moreover, you can manage your invoices to process payments and their status in QuickBooks Self-Employed. 

 

You can also create a new transaction from a receipt image and match it with existing transactions in QuickBooks.
