Question

Hello, Is it possible to have another shipping charge field added to an invoice? We have 2 warehouse locations and ship items from both locations to complete 1 order.

If not, any suggestions how to handle this with record keeping of the different shipping cost?

Hi there, @userashedlock.

Currently, the option to have another shipping charge field on an invoice is unavailable.

I recognize how important it is to add another shipping charge field in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a workaround, you can create another item for the shipping charge and set the item account to the shipping income account so it'll go through to the same location.

Here's how:

  1. Go to +New and select Invoice.
  2. From the Customer dropdown, select the customer.
  3. Review the Invoice datedue date, and terms.
  4. Select add product or service and click +Add new.
  5. Enter a name and select service for the item type.
  6. Enter a description and price/rate then in the Income account dropdown, scroll down and select shipping income account then click Create New.
  7. Fill the rest of the field and then select Save or Save and Close.

I've included an article that'll help you receive an invoice payment: Record an invoice payment
