Hi i’m trying to send a estimate to a customer and it’s telling me I have the old template and I can’t send it. How do I update my template so that I can send to customer

Let me help you send the estimate to your customers and update the template in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you're working on the new estimate layout, we can go to the Design tab to update your old template to modern. This way, you'll be able to send the sales form. Here's how:

1. Open your existing estimate.
2. Click Manage, then select Design.
3. Tick the Modern checkbox, then hit Make default.
4. Click Review and send.

If you're working on the old layout, we can edit the template for you to send the estimates to your customers. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon on the top menu and then Custom form styles.
2. Find your custom or standard template.
3. Select Edit in the Action column.
4. Make any edits. Then press Done.

QuickBooks uses your default template each time you make a new invoice, sales receipt, or estimate. However, we can also select the updated estimate template directly from the form. Let me show you how:

1. Create or open an existing estimate.
2. Select Customize in the footer.
3. Choose a custom template from the list.
4. Press Save and close.

If the same thing happens, we can delete the defective and create a new one to resolve this issue. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon on the top menu and select Custom form styles.
2. Locate the defective template, then select Delete from the drop-down arrow.
3. Click New style.
4. Select Estimate and follow the on-screen instructions.
