Question

Hi is there a setting in the budget to actual to ensure the reports are actual to the annual budget not the monthly budget or quarterly etc. ?

I ran first Q and the actual is against the quarter not the year.  This is a new issue.  The budget is only for the period being run but in the past it was the year.  Our bookkeeper said there have been changes in the budget entry so she could have made an error for 3024.

Hello, @alaarchitects.

I can show you how to run monthly reports for your transactions to get the data you need in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

It's possible to run annual versus budget report. By changing Show Grid to Accounts vs. Total. You can run annual report transactions. You can make sure you run the correct reporting period.

Like this:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Open the Budget vs. Actual report.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. On the Show Grid, dropdown arrow, choose Accounts vs. Total.

I also have an added attachment to learn everything you need to know to get started with Memorized Reports in QuickBooks Online: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Stay in touch if you have to run reports concerns. I'll be around to provide answers for you. Keep Safe!
