Question

Hi, when I set up a new Product & Services in the beginning I accidentally put a value in the stock keeping unit. How can this be removed after I found it?

Removing an added value in the SKU when creating a Product/Service is easy. I can help walk you through the process.

We can easily remove the added value by opening the item. Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Sales menu and click Product & services.
  3. Filter the type of item and click Apply

  4. Locate the item and click Edit under the Action column.
  5. From there, remove the value from the SKU field, then Save and close.

You can use this reference to learn more about editing an item or service and tracking the items you sell: Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online.

If you have duplicate items, you can merge them or remove the unused ones. Refer to this article for the details: Remove or merge a product or service.

Let me know in the comments below if you have additional questions about managing your items in QuickBooks. I'll be around to provide further help.
