I have multiple projects and I would like to run the P&L with the employee labor cost to the report.

Hello there, Alesia.

You can run a Project Profitability report to show your employee's labor cost, and I'm here to guide you through the steps.

If you already have transactions in your project, you can directly run the report, and you'll see it in the Wages under the Payroll Expense line item.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Projects and select your project.
  2. Select the Payroll Expenses dropdown and choose the one you want to view. Note that changing this setting will affect the reports you run.
  3. Head to the Project Reports tab and select the Project Profitability report.

I recommend checking out this article to learn more details about the hourly labor costs and profitability report: Track hourly labor costs and profitability by project in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, you can also consider invoicing your customers for project expenses in QuickBooks Online.
