Hello ritaltd,

Let's run some steps to resolve the issue so you can enter the employee's correct Social Security Number (SSN).

Before doing so, ensure you're not entering the employee's Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) since it is formatted like an SSN and usually begins with the number 9.

If it's the correct number, let's enter it through an incognito window. You can use these keyboard keys to open one:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Microsoft Edge & Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Control Option P

If it works, you can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. Piled cache can also be the reason for some unexpected errors in QuickBooks.

You can also use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.

Furthermore, here are some resources you can access so your workers can view their pay stubs, time off, W-2s and track time when everything is good:

I'm always around whenever you have concerns about entering employee's information.
